How we check deals

RatingsRoom shows % OFF only with a credible prior or list price. Last-checked dates live on the board. This page is the method policy for how we check deals.

The four-step check

  1. In-stock only. Start from merchant promo rows that are in stock. Out-of-stock rows drop. An empty shelf beats a dead listing.
  2. Verified was/list price. Show % OFF only when a prior or list price exists and is not inverted against the live price. We do not invent a discount. Rows without that check stay off the public board.
  3. Sort by discount, then live price. The public shelf is ordered by % OFF, then by the live price from our last check. Deeper verified discounts sit higher. We do not sort by commission.
  4. Check price. The CTA is always Check price. The live merchant listing wins if the cart disagrees with our numbers.

When we show a percent-off

We need a was-price or list-price we can stand behind next to a live sale price. If the numbers would require us to guess, the row does not get a % OFF and does not enter the public shelf. Mild discounts can appear on the open board; the ≥25% OFF lane is a deeper cut of the same verified set.

Update cadence

We re-check stock and prices when the catalog is refreshed. The last-checked date on the board is the public clock. When a price moves, a listing goes out of stock, or a was/list is no longer reliable, the row is updated or dropped on the next refresh. This is not a live ticker and not a price-match guarantee.

Corrections

If a discount looks wrong — inverted was/now, a listing that is clearly out of stock, or copy that overclaims the discount — email hello@ratingsroom.com. We correct the shelf; we do not argue the row into staying up. Please include the product title and the page URL.

Conflicts

RatingsRoom may earn a commission through affiliate links (disclosure). That relationship does not change the four steps. Brands cannot buy a sort position, a HOT tag, or a pass on the in-stock rule. People who operate this board should not publish a discount they cannot defend.

What you will not see

No fake timers. No invented lab totals. No role cards on this shelf. Images come from the merchant listing. Always read the live page before you buy.
