Privacy policy
This policy describes how RatingsRoom handles limited information when you use this site. We may update it; the effective date is the public date on this page. This page is not legal advice.
Who we are
RatingsRoom is operated by RatingsRoom. It is a public affiliate deals board, not a storefront and not a user account product. The public host at last publish was ratingsroom.com. Privacy questions: hello@ratingsroom.com.
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run a logged-in member database.
- Email you send us. If you write to hello@ratingsroom.com, we receive your address and the message so we can reply.
- Hosting logs. The host (currently a Cloudflare Worker / CDN) may log IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, and timestamps to operate, secure, and debug the site. Those logs are operational, not a marketing profile we sell.
- Affiliate click-throughs. Check price links send you to affiliate partners and merchants. Those parties may receive a referral parameter so a commission can be attributed. Their sites have their own privacy policies.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure page views and outbound affiliate clicks (for example event
outbound_affiliate_click), with IP anonymization enabled. You can block analytics cookies in your browser.
On-site search, when enabled, runs in your browser against a published index. The query can appear in the page URL. We do not operate a separate search account system.
Cookies and local storage
This site does not set its own advertising cookies. Google Analytics 4 may set analytics cookies to measure visits. The host or CDN may set strictly necessary cookies for security, load balancing, or similar infrastructure. Your browser may also store ordinary session data. We do not use that storage to build a cross-site advertising graph. You can block analytics cookies in your browser.
We do not currently run advertising pixels or a cookie consent banner.
Third parties
We share what we must with processors that host this site (for example Cloudflare hosting). When Google Analytics 4 is enabled, Google receives standard analytics events under Google’s terms. When you follow an affiliate link, affiliate partners and merchants receive the referral signal needed to attribute a purchase. We do not sell personal information. We do not rent email lists.
Retention
Contact email is kept as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted in ordinary inbox cleanup unless a legal hold applies. Hosting logs are kept for a limited operational window set by the host. We do not keep a separate consumer profile warehouse.
Your rights
You may email hello@ratingsroom.com to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, we cannot delete a merchant’s own records). You can also use browser controls to block cookies. If a US state privacy law gives you additional rights that apply to this site, write to us and we will handle the request in good faith.
Children
This site is for a general adult shopping audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If collection, cookies, or processors change in a way that matters, we will update this page and the effective date. Continued use after an update means the new policy applies to later visits.
